Gingerbread men.
Christmas isn’t Christmas without the gingerbread men, or party snacks. Look for the link near the bottom of the page for more.
Ingredients.
- 350g/12oz plain flour plus extra for rolling out.
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda.
- 2 teaspoon ground ginger.
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
- 125g/4½oz butter (cut into small cubes).
- 175g/6oz light soft brown sugar.
- 1 medium egg.
- 4 tablespoon golden syrup .
- Icing Sugar for face and buttons.
Sift together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon into the bowl of a food processor. Add the butter and mix until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.
