BBQ Sauce, a must on most meats.
This is a quick and easy BBQ sauce, all that is needed is a non-stick pan and a wooden spoon plus the ingredient’s. Easy to make 10 – 15 minutes.
I’ve put the quantity of ingredient’s down, but you can adjust to your individual taste.
Ingredients for your BBQ Sauce.
- Tomato ketchup 500ml (not the cheapest as this will be too vinegary).
- Light Brown sugar 3 tbsp.
- Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 tbsp.
- Little liquid smoke 1/2 tbsp.
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp.
- Garlic granules 1 tbsp.
- Smoked paprika 1 tsp.
- Extra virgin olive oil. 1 tbsp.
- Onion Granules 1/4 tbsp.
Optional ingredients for a warmer sauce below.
Cayenne pepper, lime juice, tabasco sauce.
Method for BBQ Sauce.
Warm the pan on the stove on a low heat, add in the ingredients stirring continuously until the sugar has dissolved and ingredient’s all combined. This will take approximately 10 minutes. Being carful to taste while on the heat, use the back of a tea spoon and cool this before tasting.
Leave to cool then transfer into an air tight container and place in the fridge.
If by any chance you find the vinegar is too strong, overpowering don’t get upset and discard. You can save the sauce. By adding a small amount of baking soda. Follow the link below.
