Pasta cheese n bacon for the warming delicious cheesiness lunch in 15 minutes. Easy to follow and cook, nice with a little fresh bread.
Ingredients for your Pasta cheese n bacon.
- 200g pasta shells.
- 150g blue cheese.
- 150g strong cheddar cheese.
- 3 rashers of smoked bacon.
- ½ tsp. Dried parsley.
- ½ tsp. Dried sage.
- ½ tsp. Dried Thyme.
- Ground sea salt and black pepper 3 or 4 turns of the grinder.
- Garlic clove finely chopped.
- Small handful of finely chopped onion.
- ¾ cup of fresh milk.
- Couple of knobs of butter.
- Tablespoon of Worcestershire .
- Little flour to thicken.
Method.
1/ First cook the pasta, then strain and put to one side.
2/ Grill the bacon and when cooked roughly chop.
3/ Finley chop the garlic, onion and break up the cheese so it will melt easier.
4/ Mix the flour in a tablespoon of cold water put to one side.
5/ Put the butter in a pan let it melt, add the onion and garlic cook for 2/3 minutes.
6/ Put in the salt, pepper, parsley, sage and thyme stir together with the onion and garlic for 1 minute.
7/ Add the milk to the pan stirring as you add.
8/ Once the milk is simmering, be careful and add the cheeses continuing to stir. Once the cheeses have melted add the flour and water mix continuing to stir.
9/ Add the chopped bacon with the Worcestershire continuing to stir, after a couple of minutes add a little pepper if needed.
10/ When simmering and the sauce has thickened add in the cooked pasta stirring to cover all the pasta.
11 / Serve.
